Dr. Swaraj Hanspal has trained from premier institutes in Mumbai and Kolkata.   After completing his MBBS from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai (one of the finest institutes in the country),  he went on to do his MS (Surgery) at LTMMC & LTMGH, Sion, Mumbai and  then  Mch (Plastic Surgery) from IPGME & R, Kolkata.

He has a wide variety of surgical experience ranging from general surgery to plastic surgery.

He is adept in dealing with a variety of reconstructive procedures of various parts of the body , including hand surgery;  skin grafting, flaps ( including free flaps i.e. micro - vascular procedures ) ; and cosmetic procedures ( liposuction, fat grafting etc. for body contouring ) as part of the Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery Division at Navpreet Hospital.

He is one of the best surgeons for AV fistula creation (for dialysis patients) ; his success rate in this surgery is comparable to international figures.
